How to Put Together a Crazy Cat Lady Halloween Costume
If you are looking for a last minute hilarious Halloween costume that’s pretty darn easy then look no further.
This Crazy Cat Lady Halloween Costume will have everyone in stitches.
First of all if it’s totally last minute than you’ll have to search your closet, basement, garage or attic for some old dark coloured clothes, black turtleneck sweater and maybe some oversized elastic waist jogging pants preferably in a dark color (so that the cat hair you’ll be attaching is easily seen.)
Items you’ll have to find:
- dark clothes
- bathrobe
- Orthopedic runners or big fuzzy slippers.
- eye glasses
- cat themed jewelry
- safety pins
- stuffed plush cat toys
- spray adhesive
If you don’t have any of the above items hit your nearest thrift store or goodwill store.
Once you have your dark clothing picked out then lay them out on some cardboard and spray them with your adhesive and take some of the plush material from one or two of the plush toys and sprinkle them all over your dark clothes that was sprayed with the adhesive.
Once done you’ll be able to finish off your outfit by fluffing your hair, adding some cat jewelry , a pair of eye glasses and pinning your stuffed plush kittens all over your shirt and pants.

Find these at thrift store:
- really ugly sweater (with a cat on it, if you can find one!)
- Baggy sweatpants
- fuzzy cat slippers
- OR wear a ratty bathrobe.
- cat earings (try the kid earrings section)
- Cat shaped eye-glasses
Put your hair up inlarge velcro rollers
You’ll need to attach a stuffed plush cat to your shoulder. If you do have cats then clean out a cat food bag and carry it around with your belongings inside.
This costume works great for both adults and kids!

So you really don’t want to look that crazy but you would just like something simple to convey your message.
